NBA Wednesday parlay at mega (+1021) odds today, 12/14: Pick the Knicks

New York Knicks guard RJ Barrett (9) dribbles up court against the Milwaukee Bucks during the first quarter at Madison Square Garden.

We are continuing the week with a 10-game slate in the association on Wednesday night. There are several eye-catching matchups that will be interesting to watch, but I have also found a few edges in the not-so-popular games, as well. With that said, let’s get into my +1021 mega parlay for Wednesday’s action.

Magic ML (+135)

Knicks ML (+150)

Nuggets -9.5 (-110)

Parlay odds: +1021

Orlando Magic ML (+135) over Atlanta Hawks

Atlanta was without Trae Young and Dejounte Murray on Monday, and it went as you might guess. The Hawks lost by 25 to the Memphis Grizzlies, which seems bad, but it gets worse. The Grizzlies were without Ja Morant, Steven Adams and Desmond Bane, arguably their 3 best players. It showcased how poor the Atlanta team is without its star backcourt, and that could be the case again on Wednesday. Murray has been ruled out and Young is questionable, and it wouldn’t surprise me to see Young remain sidelined against the Magic, who are just 8-20 this season. That makes for the perfect opportunity for Orlando to steal this game, as this team has won 3 of its last 4 games. The Magic’s only loss in that span came from Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Bucks but by only 7 points. The Magic have the tallest starting five in the association, as only one of their starting 5 is below 6’10”, and I think they can use their height advantage en route to an upset win.

New York Knicks ML (+150) over Chicago Bulls

Don’t look now, but here come the Knicks. New York has won 4 games in a row, including beating the Cavaliers, Hawks and Kings. In this 4-game span the Knicks rank 1st in net rating and have held opponents to fewer than 100 points 3 times. The starting 5 for New York has developed excellent chemistry, and it also helps to have Immanuel Quickley being the first guy off the bench. Jalen Brunson is questionable for this matchup, so it’s important to keep an eye on his status. However, New York has not played since Sunday night, so I do expect Brunson to suit up. The Bulls have a strong starting 5 featuring DeMar DeRozan and Zach LaVine, but they lack depth in their bench — which has been Chicago’s Achilles’ heel all season. The Knicks are playing better basketball right now, so they have value as underdogs.

Denver Nuggets -9.5 (-110) over Washington Wizards

It has been a rough start to the season for the Wizards. They have lost 7 in a row, been without Bradley Beal for the last 4 games and could be without Kristaps Porzingis on Wednesday. However, Beal is questionable to return so be sure to check on that closer to game time. Even if Beal plays, it’s more important to see if Porzingis can suit up. Denver ranks 8th in points in the paint per game, with most of that coming from back-to-back MVP Nikola Jokic. Washington is not the biggest team, and along with Porzingis being questionable the Wiz will remain without Rui Hachimura and could be missing Anthony Gill — who also has the questionable tag. The Nuggets boast the 5th-best net rating at home this season and considering the depth advantage they own, they should be able to win big on Wednesday night.
