Winnipeg Jets -1.5 (+152)

Los Angeles Kings ML (-113)

Nashville Predators vs Vancouver Canucks under 5.5 (-118)

Parlay odds: +777

Winnipeg Jets -1.5 (+152) over Chicago Blackhawks

The Winnipeg Jets are on a roll, while the Chicago Blackhawks are not.  After dropping their first 3 games of the season, the Jets are 5-0-1 over their last 6 games.  They are 3-0-0 at home on the year, and they will be on their home ice again.  While Connor Hellebuyck is posting an uncharacteristic .899 save percentage, the Winnipeg offense has given him plenty of support.  The Jets are scoring 3.44 goals per game, which is the 7th-best mark in the league.  They are getting contributions from their top players as Kyle Connor, Pierre Luc-Dubois, and Andrew Copp are all averaging a point per game or better.  Mark Scheifele is also back in the lineup after missing a few games.

On the other side, Chicago’s 1-8-2 record is the second-worst record in the league, ahead of only the rebuilding Arizona Coyotes, who are 0-9-1.  The Blackhawks are coming off a game in which they blew a 2-goal lead on their home ice to the Hurricanes. Alex DeBrincat scored twice and Patrick Kane added a goal and an assist, yet the Blackhawks still found a way to fall short.  They now hit the road for a tough matchup against a Winnipeg team that is playing with a ton of confidence.  The Jets should be able to win this one by multiple goals.

Los Angeles Kings ML (-113) over New Jersey Devils

The Devils are a bit of an enigma when it comes to their offense.  They rank 27th in goals, 20th in goals per game, but 1st in expected goals for per 60 minutes.  This tells us that the pressure and the opportunities are there, the Devils are just struggling to finish.  The Kings should be able to withstand all the pressure the Devils put on them offensively, especially if they continue their trend of not converting chances.  The Kings rank in the top half of expected goals against per 60, and anticipated starting goalie, Jonathan Quick, is a top 20 goalie in goals saved above expected.  The Kings have allowed more than 3 goals in a game only once this year.  It’s also not like the Kings don’t have an offense, as they rank 12th in expected goals per 60.

Look for the Kings to play a more balanced game on both sides of the ice while trying to take advantage of a Devils defense that ranks 25th in expected goals against per 60.  The all-around game the Kings can play should help eliminate any sustained pressure from the Devils offense.

Nashville Predators vs Vancouver Canucks under 5.5 (-118)

These teams have made a habit of playing low-scoring games so far this season.  The under is 7-2 for the Canucks and 6-4 for the Predators.  The Predators have seen fewer than 6 goals scored in 3 of their last 4 games.  Five of the Canucks’ last 6 games had fewer than 6 goals, including the last 4 in a row.  While both of these teams have plenty of skilled scorers, that hasn’t been seen on the ice so far.  This is also a quality goaltending matchup.  Nashville’s Juuse Saros has a 1.91 GAA and .947 save percentage over his last 2 starts.  On the other side, Vancouver’s Thatcher Demko is sporting a 2.05 GAA and .932 save percentage over his last 2 outings.  Look for the trend of low-scoring games for these teams to continue tonight.
