NHL Friday mega parlay (+810 odds): Leafs look to keep rolling

After a Thanksgiving Day that featured no NHL games, us hockey fans get 13 NHL games on Friday’s slate. That means there are plenty of betting options out there. We are putting together a 3-leg mega parlay at + odds, and breaking each leg down one by one in this article. Along with this parlay, be sure to check out our full game previews for all 13 matchups tonight.

Toronto Maple Leafs -1.5 (+164)

Penguins/Islanders under 5.5 (-124)

Panthers/Capitals over 6 (-110)

Parlay odds: +810

Toronto Maple Leafs -1.5 (+164) over San Jose Sharks

These teams faced off when the Maple Leafs hosted the Sharks in October, which ended in a 5-3 win for the Sharks. That game should be taken with a grain of salt, because at the time, Maple Leafs were in shambles, as that loss was the second of 4 straight. A little over a month later, Toronto is a whole different team. Toronto has won 12 of their last 14 games, and they are coming off an impressive 6-2 win against the Los Angeles Kings on Wednesday night. Even far away from home, it’s hard to go against the Leafs with the way they are rolling right now. They have the better goaltending and the more elite offense.

Penguins/Islanders under 5.5 (-124)

The Penguins and Islanders are both cashing the under in 4 out of their last 6 games, 66%, but due to different reasons. The Penguins’ defense has been on lockdown, including projected starting goalie, Tristan Jarry, allowing 10 goals total in their last 6 games while Jarry’s ranking in goals saved above expected has jumped to 9th place. For the Islanders, their issue has been the offense. They rank last in goals scored, 31st in goals for per game and have only scored 5 goals in their past 6 games. An injured and COVID-ridden Islanders team that can’t score playing a top-7 Penguins defense could lead to a low-scoring contest.

Panthers/Capitals over 6 (-110)

If you’re looking for a high-scoring game, this should be the one. These teams rank 3rd and 4th overall in the league when it comes to goals per game. We should see a lot of firepower in this tilt. Alex Ovechkin, Evgeny Kuznetsov, and John Carlson have been lighting it up for the Capitals, while Jonathan Huberdeau and Anthony Duclair have been doing the same for Florida. In their last 6 matchups, their games have ended in 7 or more goals. There is no reason why this game shouldn’t be different. Look to the over.
