Detroit Red Wings -1.5 (+176)

Blues ML (-105)

Wild/Panthers over 6 (-115)

Parlay odds: +907

Detroit Red Wings -1.5 (+176)

Detroit’s re-build has been going great and they are proving this season that things are ahead of schedule. Detroit’s top guns Dylan Larkin and Tyler Bertuzzi are leading by example, as they are having great individual years. In turn, the young stars like Lucas Raymond, Mortiz Seider and even goaltender Alex Nedeljkovic are following. The Wings haven’t been playing their best hockey over the last week, but they have a perfect opportunity to get back on track in this one. The Arizona Coyotes have entered full re-build mode as they hold the league’s worst record at 2-13-2. They have struggled to maintain a consistent offensive attack, as they are averaging a measly 1.76 goals per game. Detroit has much more upside, and there is strong value in backing the Wings on the puck line -1.5.

St Louis Blues ML (-105) over Dallas Stars

St Louis young guns Jordan Kyrou and Robert Thomas are leading the team in scoring with 18 and 16 points respectively in 16 games. Vladimir Tarasenko and David Perron aren’t far behind with 14 points in 16 games. If they show up, all 4 St Louis forward lines can do damage. The Stars still haven’t seemed to find their identity yet. They’re struggling to score, as their 2.53 goals per game ranks 26th in the NHL. They’re also struggling to prevent goals. The Stars are 25th in the NHL with 3.27 goals against per game. They’re not exactly hot of late either as they’re 2-3-o in their last 5 and 3-5-2 in their last 10. Head to head, the Blues have the statistical advantage in special teams, offense, and defense. Back the Blues in this one.

Wild/Panthers over 6 (-115)

In Minnesota’s last 10 games, they have 4 losses and a total of 5 goals in those games. In those 6 wins, they scored a total of 31 goals. That’s 5.16 goals per game across those 6 wins. The Wild can turn on the offense in a major way. Their goal prevention is another story. Minnesota is in the bottom third of the NHL in goal prevention and facing the NHL’s best offense thus far this season. If Florida gets out to a mid-game lead, Minnesota will have to dig deep to find that offense. Two solid, deep offenses coupled with a below-average defense could cause this game to be a high total.
