Although I prefer sports that involve hitting people, I still love capping MLB, soccer, tennis, and even some esports. Living in Florida has its perks like year-round sports of any kind. To round out our 20-game weekend, we have 7 more NHL games on Sunday. After all-day action yesterday, things get started just as early today. In fact, we’ll be targeting the first puck-drop with our NHL mega parlay. There aren’t many games left in the season, but there are still enough with teams battling for not only seeding, but playoff berths in general. We have plays ranging from the first game of the day to the last, so let’s get into it.

Along with our NHL mega parlay, be sure to check out all of our NHL picks for today’s action.

Buffalo Sabres ML (+150) over Boston Bruins

Betting against the Boston Bruins has not been fun for about 99% of the season. They’re an absolute wagon and took down the Minnesota Wild yesterday. However, that plays into why there’s value in the Sabres. The Bruins will not only be on the second leg of a back-to-back, but also on the road for both games. One of the primary reasons for their success this season has been their strong defense.

However, they’re now going to be taking on a high-flying offense while not being 100% fresh. Buffalo isn’t as complete of a team as Boston, but they’re not far behind in terms of goalscoring. The Bruins score the 2nd-most goals per game, while the Sabres are right behind in 3rd. They’ll also have the benefit of being rested and have the extra motivation of clinging on to their playoff hopes. Boston hasn’t experienced many losses this season, but fell to the Sabres 4-3 on New Year’s Eve. That game was in Boston, and now the Bruins will have the advantage of being in Buffalo.

New Jersey Devils ML (+120) over Tampa Bay Lightning

If there was ever a revenge spot, this is it. There’s a chance that this is an Eastern Conference Finals preview, and it has already felt like a series between these great teams. This will be the third game between them in the past 5 days. The Lightning were able to take the first 2, but that doesn’t mean New Jersey is hopeless. Both teams were in action yesterday, so they’ll be on even footing on that front.

This matchup being in Tampa is why the Devils are the slight underdog, but being on the road hasn’t disturbed them much this season. They have the best record away from home in the NHL with a mark of 25-4-4. That .813 win percentage is significantly ahead of the Bruins with a .743 road win percentage. It’s also worth noting that the Devils needing some time to flesh out their new lines is understandable. They added Timo Meier from the San Jose Sharks, so they’ve been switching things around. I expect another closely contested game, but the Devils can come out on top this time.

Vancouver Canucks 3-way ML (+115) over Anaheim Ducks

The final puck drops in Anaheim tonight, which has generally been good news for the opposition. The Ducks have been just as bad as anticipated, sitting with a 23-36-10 record. Their spirits may be high after their recent win, but that came against the worst team in hockey, the Columbus Blue Jackets, and they still allowed 4 goals in that game.

That has been Anaheim’s biggest weakness all season, as they have allowed the most goals per game. Admittedly, the Canucks defense has been quite disappointing this year as well. However, they still have far more depth with Quinn Hughes, J.T. Miller and Elias Pettersson. That was on full display when these teams first met, which was an 8-5 victory for Vancouver. We may see another shootout like that given the poor defenses, but the Canucks still have the superior amount of skating talent on the ice.
