Sandwiched between last night’s 10-game slate and 11 games tomorrow is a slow 3-game night tonight. However, that doesn’t mean we can’t create a play with a mega payout. We’ve found the best value for each of tonight’s matchups and pieced them together for our NHL mega parlay. While most of the teams in action likely won’t be in the postseason, the Wild vs Jets presents a potential playoff series. Let’s see how to best play that game along with the 2 others.

Detroit Red Wings -1.5 (+110) over Chicago Blackhawks

It’s a virtual impossibility for the Blackhawks to make the postseason and the Red Wings would need a miracle themselves. Regardless, someone has to win the game. Chicago is coming off a shocking upset over the Ottawa Senators on Monday night, but those wins have been few and far between. Even after that victory, they still have the fewest points in the entire Western Conference.

Detroit certainly isn’t great either, but they did come out of the All-Star break going 7-3-0. They also extended captain Dylan Larkin to an 8-year deal, so it’s clear the Wings are trying to build something. Meanwhile, the Blackhawks traded away future Hall-of-Famer Patrick Kane after having already gotten rid of their 2nd-best player in Alex DeBrincat over the offseason. On top of all that, Detroit is expecting goaltender Vile Husso back in net, so we don’t see Chicago finding the back of the net often enough to keep this game close.

Winnipeg Jets 3-way ML (+115) over Minnesota Wild

There’s no denying that this is the featured matchup of the night. These Central Division foes are battling it out to try and stay within the top 3 to avoid being a Wild Card team in the 1st round of the playoffs. There’s great value on the Jets in this spot with this game being in Winnipeg and the Wild having just played last night. It was Minnesota’s 2nd straight game against the Calgary Flames, who are another team fighting for a postseason berth.

Surprisingly enough, it’s been the Wild’s defense that has been stellar recently, so being on a back-to-back should give the Jets a sigh of relief. Winnipeg also got their let-down spot out of the way when they lost to the San Jose Sharks on Monday night after putting up 7 goals to defeat the Edmonton Oilers. Going down to the Sharks is never a good look, but this is now a solid bounce-back spot for them. They’ll have a rested Connor Hellebuyck in net who is going for his 5th-straight season leading the league in saves made. Minnesota’s offense hasn’t been as potent as last year, so we’re expecting a strong night from Hellebuyck.

Anaheim Ducks ML (+185) over Vancouver Canucks

The night wraps up with yet another matchup of non-playoff teams. Technically, the Canucks can hold out hope for a miracle, but they still haven’t had the season they expected. This isn’t to say the Ducks are good either; however, there is simply no reason Vancouver should be greater than -200 favorites against anyone. Part of the reason for that pricing is due to Anaheim also being on the 2nd night of a back-to-back.

Even still, the Canucks goaltending truly has been awful. They are the only team allowing more goals per game since the start of 2023 than the Ducks. Again, Anaheim isn’t a strong team by any means, but they did recently beat the Washington Capitals and Carolina Hurricanes in back-to-back road games. In fact, heading into Tuesday night’s game, the Ducks were 4-0-1 in their previous 5 games. They’ve also defeated the Canucks in 6 of the last 8 meetings. It may not be the marquee matchup to finish off the night on the ice, but Anaheim can pull off the upset.
