The Merseyside Derby is the standout game in the English Premier League this weekend when Liverpool and Everton clash for the second time this season, in one of English football’s greatest and most historic rivalries.

Just a few hundred yards across Stanley Park separates Everton’s home stadium from Liverpool’s, and it’s a match that means everything to supporters of both clubs and has been the case since they first played each other way back in 1894. Everton won that day 3-0 – will that be the scoreline this Saturday?

The Merseyside Derby is one of four games on this Saturday EPL card, so make sure you check out all of our Premier League soccer predictions and remember to gamble responsibly. A parlay of three EPL predictions can land a big winning ticket, paying odds of +590 with DraftKings Sportsbook — nearly 6/1.

Southampton to win or tie against Chelsea – Double chance (+110), 7:30 a.m ET

Southampton is 0-6 since beating Liverpool at the start of the year but they aren’t playing as badly as those numbers suggest.

Yes, they were hammered 9-0 at Manchester United but they had two men ejected in that game and things escalated very quickly on that occasion.

They remain a decent team who are getting players back from injury and they can hold their own against in-form Chelsea.

Chelsea is unbeaten since Thomas Tuchel took head coach duties off former New York City star Frank Lampard, but they aren’t setting the world alight and Southampton can at least force a tie.

Burnley to beat West Brom – Money Line (+104), 10 a.m ET

Burnley has made big strides to get away from the relegation places – the bottom three go down at the end of the season – and are comfortably above the cut line.

The 1-0 win at Liverpool was jaw-dropping yet they played even better just last week, winning 3-0 on the road at Crystal Palace.

They’ve since tied with Fulham but can get a much-needed W against West Bromwich Albion, who are below the cut line and in real fear of going down.

West Brom has got former England head coach Sam Allardyce on the sidelines but he’s struggling to get a tune out of a team who have won one of 11 during his reign. The Baggies did secure a tie with Manchester United recently, but they are likely to be overpowered by Burnley, one of the most physical teams in the league.

Liverpool vs. Everton – Over 2.5 total goals (-165), 12:30 p.m ET

There have to be goals and lots of them when these neighbors and rivals meet at Anfield, the home of Liverpool, the reigning Premier League champions.

When they met earlier in the season at Goodison Park — Everton’s home stadium — the game ended 2-2. When these sides played here, at Anfield, last season it ended 5-2 to Liverpool.

And this season Liverpool’s games are averaging 3.2 goals a time, Everton’s a fraction under three.

Everton’s defense is seriously misbehaving at the moment with 15 goals conceded in the last six games while Liverpool have so many top golscorers – Mo Salah and Sadio Mane are so dangerous – but cannot pick the same defense every week because of injuries. And that’s unsettling.
