Manchester United to beat Leicester – Money Line (+130), 7:30 a.m ET

Manchester United have gone seven Premier League games unbeaten and have restored some confidence going into their trip to 2016 champions Leicester. The Red Devils have won all of their away EPL matches this season.

Elimination from the Champions League was a hammer blow for United and manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer suffered calls for his resignation. The humbling against German side RB Leipzig appears to have galvanized the United squad and performances have improved since.

A 6-2 thrashing of Leeds United was a boost for Solskjaer’s team, putting them within touching distance of second-placed Leicester in the table, and the Red Devils can extend their promising league form by taking three points from the King Power Stadium.

Arsenal vs. Chelsea – Under 2.5 Total Goals (-110), 12:30 p.m ET

Arsenal has been nervous of late, with rookie manager Mikel Arteta presiding over the worst start to a Premier League campaign in the Gunners’ history, and they may not be too aggressive in the early stages against rivals Chelsea at the Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal is arguably the value in the match market — Chelsea is on offer at extremely short odds — but a tight, low-scoring matchup could be on the cards.

The Gunners are 15th in the table and struggling for goals. And when Chelsea have gone up against high-class Premier League opposition this season, they have drawn a blank, losing 2-0 to Liverpool and contesting goalless ties against Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur. Under 2.5 total goals could be a sensible investment.

Manchester City to beat Newcastle – Money Line (-950), 3 p.m ET

Carabao Cup holders Manchester City started Christmas week with a 4-1 romp against Arsenal to reach the semifinals of that competition — and the Citizens can further enhance their chances of silverware in 2021 by beating Newcastle.

Pep Guardiola’s team were flat against Manchester United, failing to create their usual amount of opportunities in a goalless draw, then flopped 1-1 at home to West Brom. There has been a strong response with three points taken from a visit to Southampton, then the comfortable Cup success.

Newcastle has been relying on goalkeeper Karl Darlow to keep them competitive against lesser opposition to that which they face at the Etihad Stadium. City can be trusted to be a lock.

Sheffield United vs. Everton – Over 2.5 Total Goals (-106), 3 p.m ET

Despite languishing at the bottom of the table, Sheffield United has still managed to score three goals in their last two home games against quality opposition — going down 2-1 to Leicester City before a 3-2 loss to Manchester United.

It will be encouraging for Blades supporters that their team has managed to find the net — and the best bet for their hosting of Everton could be over 2.5 goals.

Everton should arrive with purpose, needing three points to reignite their title challenge, while United know that two points from 14 games mean they have no choice but to attack as well. A high-scoring encounter seems likely.
