The halfway stage of the English Premier League season is now behind us and the situation at both the top and the bottom of the standings continues to be intriguing. There are more key matchups on Saturday and leaders Arsenal will have the chance to go 8 points ahead of Manchester City if Mikel Arteta’s side can beat Brentford in an all-London clash at the Emirates.

Other highlights of the Saturday program are 4th-placed Newcastle’s long trip to Bournemouth, while Tottenham will hope to build on their 1-0 success against Man City on Sunday by winning their game at Leicester.

It should be a great day of EPL soccer action, and we’ve got a 4-game parlay to hopefully see you right through the day, which is available at huge +1549 odds with FanDuel Sportsbook.

Brighton ML over Crystal Palace (+100), 10:00 am ET

This is a rivalry game with a lot of history but it could be road team Brighton which is left celebrating when they meet Crystal Palace on Saturday. The Seagulls have already posted wins at Wolves, Southampton and Everton and although those teams are all in relegation trouble, a victory at Palace should be within their capabilities as qualification for European football looks a real possibility.

Brighton has failed to score in just 1 of its 10 away matches this season and that bodes well for a visit to the Eagles, who have won just 1 of their last 8. One goal in 4 home games is a worry for Patrick Vieira’s team and 3 of its 4 home wins have come against strugglers Wolves, Leeds and Southampton. It would not take much for the London team to be dragged into relegation trouble but Brighton looks a strong bet to win this one.

Tottenham ML over Leicester (+110), 10:00 am ET

Tottenham will be full of confidence after a 1-0 win over Manchester City last week in which Harry Kane broke the club’s goalscoring record. That success was a boost for home form which has been shaky and Tottenham’s results on the road have probably been more impressive. Three defeats have been suffered away from home for Spurs but they were at Manchester City, Manchester United and Arsenal, 3 of the 4 teams ahead of Antonio Conte’s team in the standings.

The 2-0 loss at Old Trafford is the only away game that Spurs have not scored in this season and they can get 3 points at Leicester on Saturday. The Foxes, inspired by the return of midfielder James Maddison, won 4-2 at Aston Villa last week, but they have won just 2 matches at the King Power Stadium this season, so they could struggle.

Wolves ML over Southampton (+155), 10:00 am ET

This is turning into a nightmare season for bottom team Southampton and it could get a whole lot worse when the Saints face Wolves on Saturday. Nathan Jones’s team was awful in losing 3-0 at Brentford last week and that was Southampton’s 8th defeat in 9 league games.

The Saints have earned just 2 points from their last 7 matches at St. Mary’s and while Wolves have won just once in their last 14 road games, this still looks like a good opportunity to gain some breathing space above the relegation zone, particularly as confidence should be high following last week’s 3-0 win over Liverpool. That success over the Reds came after a 1-0 win over West Ham, so it seems the visitors are heading in the right direction, something that cannot be said of Southampton.

Newcastle ML over Bournemouth (-185), 12:30 pm ET

The final game of the day should see 4th-placed Newcastle boost their chances of reaching next season’s Champions League by winning at relegation-threatened Bournemouth. The home side is just 2 points ahead of bottom-placed Southampton and has won just 1 of its last 12 league games. The Cherries have also scored just 1 goal in their 6 games since they won 3-0 at home to Everton.

Newcastle, meanwhile, are unbeaten since August 31 and even though 4 of their last 5 matches have been ties, Eddie Howe’s team should still have too much for his old club, so expect an away win.
