The Super Bowl matchup is set: the New England Patriots will go up against the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday, February 8 in Santa Clara, California. It may not have been everyone’s pick when the 2025 NFL campaign kicked off, but they have been 2 of the best teams all season long. New England (14-3) was the #2 seed in the AFC and took out top-seeded Denver 10-7 in blizzard conditions on Sunday afternoon. Seattle (14-3) took care of business as the #1 seed in the NFC, clipping the division-rival Rams in a 31-27 thriller.

Best bet for the Super Bowl 60: New England Patriots vs Seattle Seahawks Over 46.5 (-110)

Both of these teams are stellar on both sides of the ball — that’s why there in the Super Bowl, of course. As such, the question is: will good offense get the best of good defense, or the other way around?

At first glance, I’m rolling with the offenses. Both teams are incredibly sound offensively, and there will also be plenty of star power at the skill positions on the field. New England’s Drake Maye and Seattle’s Sam Darnold have been playing at an MVP level. Darnold, especially, was awesome on championship Sunday; Maye wasn’t able to do much given the weather in Denver, but he made the plays when he had to — showcasing a maturity on the big stage that bodes well for his chances of faring well in Super Bowl 60. As if the QBs aren’t enough, the Seahawks also boast soon-to-be NFL Offensive Player of the Year Jaxon Smith-Njigba at receiver.

The ‘Hawks have scored 41 points through 2 playoff games and it’s hard to see them slowing down. To counter that, the Patriots probably won’t be able to play quite as conservatively on offense as they sometimes do. Head coach Mike Vrabel may have to unleash Maye — and the result could be points aplenty for both teams.
