Super Bowl LVI is almost upon us and we’re here to make sure you don’t miss a single second of the action.
With the lineups set for the showdown at SoFi Stadium, let’s find out how you can watch the biggest NFL matchup of the year.
How To Watch Super Bowl 56
The Super Bowl is the crown jewel in the US television schedule with 100 million people regularly tuning in each year to watch the game. Super Bowl 55 might have dipped to an average of 96 million viewers across all platforms but was still far and away the most watched broadcast in the United States in 2021.
The sight of Tom Brady’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers crushing the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl 55 was just one of 75 NFL games that filled the top 100 most-watched US broadcasts last year, and the NFL is set to stay on top in 2022.
This year’s Super Bowl will be broadcast on television in the US on NBC but there are plenty of other options to watch the action via streaming services and apps.
Super Bowl 56 will also be broadcast across the world, with football fans in more than 170 countries having the chance to enjoy the action.
Which Channel Is The Super Bowl On In 2022?
NBC, the home of Sunday Night Football, has the honor of televising Super Bowl 56 having swapped with CBS to broadcast this year’s game. As part of the cycle between NBC, CBS and Fox to show the Super Bowl, NBC had originally been scheduled to show Super Bowl 55, only to trade with CBS. That means NBC won’t face competition from a rival broadcaster showing a marquee event during a time when they will also be screening the Winter Olympics in Beijing.
This will be the first Super Bowl NBC has broadcast since the New England Patriots beat the Los Angeles Rams 13-3 in Super Bowl LIII in 2019.
The SNF duo of Al Michaels and Cris Collinsworth will provide the commentary for the game with Michele Tafoya on the sidelines. NBC have also lined up Hollywood royalty in Halle Berry to present the opening segment of their kickoff show.
In the UK, you will be able to watch Super Bowl 56 on BBC Two and Sky Sports NFL, while the game will be broadcast on Channel 7 in Australia.
Make sure you also find out what time the Super Bowl gets underway so you don’t miss a single second of the thrilling action.

How To Watch The 2022 Super Bowl Without Cable
The good news for all the cord-cutters out there is that NBC is one of the easier channels to get without cable. Alongside the wide selection of streaming services, Super Bowl 56 will be available to watch on mobile devices via the NBC Sport app. The NFL’s own app will also be showing the game, as will the Yahoo Sports app for those in the United States. Alternatively, you can head to NBCSports.com to live stream all the action from SoFi Stadium.
And finally, if you are within a reasonable distance of a broadcast tower in the US then the trusty TV antenna should pick up NBC.
