NFL Week 8 Anytime TD Scorers: Best Picks for Sunday's Games
We’re approaching the halfway point of the NFL regular season with the full Week 8 card right around the corner. To get you set for the action, I have three more touchdown bets to make on Sunday after going 4-2 over the last two weeks while cashing a +650 on Omar Cooper in Week 6 and a +285 on Marvin Harrison Jr. last week. Let’s get into it, and don’t forget our NFL predictions for tips and analysis on sides and total on every Week 8 game and beyond.
NFL Week 8 Touchdown Scorer: Bhayshul Tuten (JAX) -110
Odds available at FanDuel Sportsbook at the time of publishing. Playable to -140.
It may not always be pretty, but good things happen when Bhayshul Tuten touches the ball. Chris Rodriguez Jr. cloudies that vision a bit for coach Liam Coen, but the price is simply too good to pass on given the Jags being at home in Duval County off a bye and laying double digits against a perceivably inferior Indianapolis defense. Game-script wise, it couldn’t be better for a starting running back.
Tuten is tough to bring down, tied for fifth in the NFL in missed tackles forced, and his 3.62 yards after contact per attempt is a top-eight mark as well (PFF). He can also catch passes when needed, bringing in 13 of his 14 targets for 126 yards and two scores in addition to his 388 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns.
Opposite Tuten is a Colts defense that ranks 28th in EPA per rush and 26th in rush success per SumerSports. Indy has played physical game after physical game for the last few weeks with no time off, which will eventually catch up to them, maybe even this week against a rested Jags offense.

NFL Week 8 Touchdown Scorer: TJ Hockenson (MIN) +280
Odds available at DraftKings Sportsbook at the time of publishing. Playable to +225.
I subscribe to the notion, “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it,” which applies directly to the divisional matchup between the Vikings and Lions in Detroit on Sunday. The Lions have been the worst defense in the league all season long, and we’ve capitalized on it in various markets for nearly a month now, so why not go right back to the well – and with a former Lion, no less! Detroit’s defense is starting to get healthier, but it ranks dead last in targets, receptions, yards and touchdowns surrendered to tight ends (Pro Football Reference). The only game in which they did not allow a tight-end touchdown was against the Panthers, but Carolina’s tight end room caught eight combined passes for more than 50 yards.
TJ Hockenson certainly isn’t the focal point of the offense, but he isn’t priced that way. He’s been a safety valve for Minnesota’s quarterbacks, bringing in 27 of his 32 targets thus far, along with two scores. Playing against his former team that boasts a weak defense against his position, Hock being priced north of +250 seems to be of extreme value.

NFL Week 8 Touchdown Scorer: KC Concepcion (CLE) +370
Odds courtesy of Fanatics Sportsbook at the time of publishing. Playable to +300.
Cleveland’s first-round pick hasn’t found the end zone yet, but he’s certainly entrenched in the offense. He just caught eight passes for 129 yards on 10 targets against Tennessee, and he even carried the ball three times – that’s 11 total touches for the rookie. His time is coming.
Since Concepcion’s first NFL game, he’s garnered at least six targets in every game except the one in which he was knocked out early by New York’s Minkah Fitzpatrick. The matchup against Pittsburgh’s defense isn’t ideal on paper, but the Steelers are playing this game with no rest after playing in Paris last week – which was their third game away from home since the first time these teams met on Thursday, October 1. In that game, Concepcion brought in five of his eight targets for 64 yards.
The Browns may have a lot of mouths to feed, but I have to imagine the increased workload for their first-round pick means a touchdown is coming soon. The fact that he returns punts just means more opportunities for him to take it to the house.
