Thursday’s NHL three-team mega parlay (+1208 odds): Bruins to take advantage of spiraling Sabres

Bruins have a strong chance to win the 2020 Stanley Cup

Once again hockey fans are spoiled to a busy night on the ice as 20 teams faceoff on a busy Thursday night in the NHL. Our NHL expert has identified the three best bets of the night which include two underdogs and one favorite on the puckline. Be sure to check out our picks for all of Thursday’s NHL matchups here.

But right now, let’s break down our three-team mega parlay:

Boston Bruins -1.5 (+100)

Winnipeg Jets ML (+118)

Chicago Blackhawks ML (+200)

Parlay odds: +1208

Boston Bruins -1.5 over Buffalo Sabres (+100)

The Boston Bruins will get their chance to beat up on the Buffalo Sabres as the two teams meet for the first time on Thursday night. The Sabres have lost twelve games in a row and have just recently fired their starting head coach. Unfortunately for Buffalo that isn’t going to change the fact that this is a terrible matchup for them. Boston is one of the leagues best defensive teams in the league allowing just 2.33 goals against per game. They also have the leagues best penalty kill which has successfully killed off 89% of their penalties. The Sabres are averaging just 2.07 goals per game and have been shutout six times already this year. To put that in perspective the Sabres have only won six games all year! Boston has patiently waited for their first game vs the Sabres and they will be eager to beat up on them like the rest of the division has. Take the Bruins to win by more than a goal!

Winnipeg Jets over Edmonton Oilers (+118)

The Winnipeg Jets will make the short trip to Edmonton to play the Oilers on Thursday which will be a rare back-to-back game for both clubs. With Connor Hellebuyck getting the start on Wednesday it is safe to assume we will see Laurent Brossoit in net for the Jets. This presents an opportunity to get some incredible value on the Jets. The market will give the Jets better odds with Brossoit in goal for the Jets but the drop off from Hellebuyck at the moment is minimal. Brossoit is 5-1 this year with a 2.49 GAA and a .921 SV% and has allowed two goals or less in four of his last five games. The Jets also have a much deeper roster than the Oilers so they should be better suited for a back-to-back. It will be hard for Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl to do all of the heavy lifting with tired legs. Take the Jets.

Chicago Blackhawks over Tampa Bay Lightning (+200)

There is no denying that the Lightning are a powerhouse but at the right odds any team can have value. This applies to the Blackhawks on Thursday as they have several edges pointing their way. Chicago is 18-6 in their last 24 games on 2 days rest, meanwhile the Lightning will be playing their third game in four nights. The Lightning are also the most penalized team in the league which will provide Chicago with plenty of opportunities to score with the man advantage. Patrick Kane leads the Central Division with 42 points while his line mate Alex DeBrincat leads the Central Division in goals with 15. The Blackhawks have already taken the Lightning to overtime twice this season so they have proven that they can hang with the Lightning if they play well.
