Top 5 Bold NBA Predictions For The All-Star Weekend In Charlotte

The NBA season is already past the halfway point and the NBA All-Star Game is on Sunday. Let’s breakdown some of my 5 bold NBA Predictions for the All-Star Weekend and the rest of the week on what I think might happen through the all-star weekend.

Dirk Nowitzki doesn’t finish in last in the 3 point shooting contest

Some might not think this is an actual bold prediction, but if you have been paying attention to how he has shot this year, this is very bold. This is some of the best three-point shooters in the world going head to head, and Nowitzki has been flat out bad.

So far this season Nowitzki has shot 32.4 percent from deep which is the second worst mark in his career behind his rookie season. Most of the others competing in the contest are above the 40 percent mark.

I won’t go as far to say that I think he will win the contest, but I think he will throw back the clock a little bit and have a nice showing.

LeBron James continues to recruit Anthony Davis

Even though the trade deadline is over I don’t think that is going to stop LeBron James from recruiting Anthony Davis and I think it will be a big talking point of the weekend.

The two are on the same team and I think there will be a lot of talk from James and subtle (or not so subtle) hints about how much he wants Davis on the Lakers.

Michael Jordan is involved in the dunk contest

This event is in Charlotte and the owner of the Hornets is Michael Jordan who just happens to be one of the greatest dunkers of all time, so it’s only fitting that he is involved in the dunk contest.

I am not so sure he is going to be putting on a dunking show of his own, but I think that he will be jumped over, or throw a pass to someone just to try and get the crowd extra fired up.

Dirk Nowitzki or Dwyane Wade will win MVP

Dirk Nowitzki and Dwyane Wade were added to the All-Star game rosters to celebrate what both have done throughout their NBA careers and if either guy has an even decent game there is no doubt the NBA is going to want to send them out with an MVP trophy.

My guess is that it will be Wade because he is on team LeBron and I think team LeBron will win this game, and he has also played at a higher level this season.

Team LeBron wins by 15+

LeBron James did a great job of drafting his team while the Greek Freak I think could have done a little better. Bradley Beal, Anthony Davis, Damian Lillard, Karl-Anthony Towns, and Ben Simmons are all coming off the bench for the King.

I think they will start in the first quarter with running up the score and they won’t look back. Their offensive firepower is going to be too much as they win this game by at least 15 points.
