UFC Fight Night 240 Main Card Best Bets

Brendan Allen vs. Chris Curtis – Fight to go the Distance – No (-200)

The Main Event at UFC Fight Night 240 will see Brendan Allen take on Chris Curtis in the UFC Middleweight division. Allen comes into this fight with an MMA record of 23-5 and he is 12-2 in the UFC. On the other side, Curtis comes into this fight with an MMA record of 31-10 and he is 6-2 in the UFC.

This is a rematch of 2021 when Curtis beat Allen by KO/TKO. Given that, we will also be looking for this fight to end inside the distance. Allen has seen his last 4 UFC fights end by finish, while Curtis has seen 3 of his last 7 UFC fights end inside the distance and 20 of his 41 career fights end inside the distance as well. Given that the first fight between these 2 fighters ended quickly and both fighters also have a high finish rate, backing this fight to also end inside the distance will be our best bet.

Chepe Mariscal ML over Morgan Charriere (-105)

The fourth fight on the Main Card at UFC Fight Night 240 will see Morgan Charriere take on Chepe Mariscal in the UFC Featherweight division. Chepe Mariscal comes into this fight with an MMA record of 15-6-1 and he is 2-0 in the UFC. Mariscal is averaging 4.67 significant strikes per minute and has a striking accuracy of 53%. He is absorbing 3.95 strikes and has a striking defense of 52%. His grappling has also been elite, averaging 3.22 takedowns per every 15 minutes. Mariscal has a takedown accuracy of 38% and his takedown defense is 100%.

This fight is very evenly matched with Charriere set as the slight favorite. Charriere has the clear advantage in striking, but Mariscal has proven to be an elite grappler, therefore backing him to win will be our best bet.

Trevor Peek ML over Charlie Campbell (+150)

The first fight on the Main Card at UFC Fight Night 240 will see Trevor Peek take on Charlie Campbell in the UFC Lightweight division. Peek comes into this fight with an MMA record of 9-1 and he is 3-1 in the UFC. He is averaging 5.09 significant strikes and has a striking accuracy of 56%. He is absorbing 4.37 strikes and has a striking defense of 44%. His grappling has been solid, averaging 1.76 takedowns per every 15 minutes. Peek’s takedown accuracy is 50% and his takedown defense is 51%.

Campbell is a large favorite in this fight; however, we will look for Peek to pull off the upset. Peek is lacking in terms of his striking volume, but he has a significant advantage in grappling, therefore backing Peek to win will be our best bet.
