The first Sunday of the new NFL season is upon us, and it’s sure to be a wild ride as we have 14 mouthwatering matchups to look forward to. We saw the Lions upset the Chiefs on the road on Thursday night, and that may have set the tone for all kinds of crazy results we could yet see over the next few months. However, in this particular article we’re setting our focus on the best touchdown scorer NFL prop bets that you can make in Week 1.

This time of year can be tricky as it’s hard to have a handle on who particular teams will favor, but the sportsbooks are also in the dark and that can create some value in certain players. Let’s dive in.

Cardinals vs Commanders touchdown scorer pick: James Conner (+170)

Odds available at DraftKings Sportsbook at time of publishing.

The total line for this Cardinals vs Commanders game is set at 38 points, so the sportsbooks aren’t expecting many points to be scored by these struggling teams. However, we know that someone is going to get into the end zone, and there looks to be value in taking Cardinals running back James Conner to do just that. With Josh Dobbs under center, Conner can be expected to carry the load and get the offense going in this Arizona team, at least in the opening game. With the likes of Chase Young and Montez Sweat bearing down on Dobbs, Conner could be relied upon to take some heat off the signal-caller while he finds his bearing. Conner has had 22 rushing touchdowns over the past 2 seasons and at +170 odds he looks a good pick to do it against the Commanders.

These NFL touchdown scorer picks are available at DraftKings Sportsbook, and if you sign up right now, then you can bet $5 and secure $200 in bonus bets IMMEDIATELY! Head over to DraftKings now by clicking this link.

Eagles vs Patriots touchdown scorer pick: Dallas Goedert (+265)

Odds available at DraftKings Sportsbook at time of publishing.

The Eagles begin their quest to return to the Super Bowl with a tough trip to New England to take on the Patriots, and one man who could play a part in securing Philadelphia the victory is tight end Dallas Goedert. The big man only managed 3 scores in the regular season last year but always sees a ton of targets and was successful in punching it in against the Giants during the playoffs. The Patriots struggled against tight ends last season, allowing the second-most touchdowns to the position (11) despite ranking 19th in receptions allowed to tight ends. Goedert looks likely to play a part in this game and +265 odds is a fair price.

Buccaneers vs Vikings touchdown scorer pick: Jordan Addison (+240)

Odds available at FanDuel Sportsbook at time of publishing.

I was very excited to see Jordan Addison wind up at the Vikings and I think we’re getting a great price for him to make an instant impact. One of Addison’s criticisms going into the draft was that he profiled as a WR2, but that fits perfectly in this Minnesota offense opposite Justin Jefferson, and with the Buccaneers’ defense focusing on him that should open the door for Addison to be a danger in the red zone. Tampa Bay allowed the 2nd-most passing touchdowns last season and with their offense taking a big step back now that Tom Brady isn’t around, the Vikings should get plenty of possessions. I think Addison is being somewhat underestimated; I’m keen to take advantage of that.
