While we are still nearly 5 months away from the return of NFL football there are still plenty of wagering opportunities during the offseason, including draft props. The 2022 NFL Draft is right around the corner, and it will be held from April 28-30 in Las Vegas.

Before names start getting called, we will have a ton of draft content coming to get you primed. Here we are focusing on Malik Willis and draft props surrounding the former Liberty quarterback who is the favorite to go first overall. We’ll start by taking a look at the odds, courtesy of DraftKings, before diving into the best bet:

2022 NFL Draft Malik Willis prop odds

There are a number of different wagers you could make on Willis before draft night. He’s a longshot to be the 1st overall pick at +3500, but that’s not the prop market to focus on when it comes to Willis. The over/under on Willis’ draft position is 9.5, with -140 being offered to go over. Willis is also currently the favorite to be the first quarterback selected at -175, with Kenny Pickett as the only other contender at +135.

Where we can find value on Willis’ draft odds is selecting which team will draft the dual-threat talent. The leading candidate is the Carolina Panthers at +250 due to their pressing need of a change at quarterback. A logjam follows the Panthers as the Pittsburgh Steelers, Atlanta Falcons, Seattle Seahawks and Detroit Lions all check in at +350 to draft Willis.

2022 NFL Draft Malik Willis best prop bet

Quarterback is still the most important position on the football field, so expect one to get drafted in the 1st round. There’s been some movement at multiple books with the Steelers odds of late, and I agree with the signs pointing to Willis to Pittsburgh.

It seems like an obvious fit in a weak quarterback year. Pittsburgh needs a franchise QB and there aren’t many viable options in this draft. ESPN’s Todd McShay has pegged Willis to Pittsburgh and I could see the Steelers trading up from pick No. 20 as a way to stay competitive in the AFC North.

Out of the competitors, the Falcons and Seahawks seem to have temporary quarterback plans in place. The Panthers and Lions have too many needs to only focus on a gunslinger. The Steelers have previously shown they aren’t afraid to move up to draft players of need. Recent signs point to Willis impressing the Steelers front office and the odds movement reflects that. At +350, I’ll take a shot on Willis to Pittsburgh.
