Elsewhere in the MLB, the Giants secured a series win over World Series favorites the Los Angeles Dodgers with a 6-4 win. The Giants are +1000 with FanDuel Sportsbook to win the World Series and +180 to take the NL West. In Sunday’s big college football game, Notre Dame pulled off a 41-38 overtime win against Florida State but failed to cover the 7.5-point spread.

College Football kickoff weekend continues

Scherzer was good for the Nationals and was having another great season of his long successful career, but he’s been a different beast in LA. He has shut down some of the most powerful offenses in the league since moving to the west coast as the Astros, Padres, and Braves have combined for 2 runs in 20.2 innings against him. Ole Miss Rebels averaged nearly 560 yards and 39 points per game in 2020 and they played at the fifth-fastest pace in the nation last year, dialing up 81.6 offensive plays per game.
