We are approaching the home stretch of the 2021 MLB season and we now know more or less where things stand. We’ve got a big slate on Sunday, with plenty of opportunities for value. Why not celebrate by going for a big payday as we wrap up the weekend? That’s right; we’re back with another MLB mega parlay, this time a three-teamer with a payout north of 13/1, and we’re counting on Cleveland to pull off a money line upset.

We’re going big and bold, so let’s not waste any more time. But before we dive in, don’t forget to check out our picks for the side and total on every MLB game, with our team of experts in red-hot form.

New York Mets -1.5 (+105)

Cleveland Indians ML (+145)

Detroit Tigers ML (+180)

Parlay odds: +1306

Let’s break down each of the legs one by one.

New York Mets -1.5 (+105) over Washington Nationals

The Mets? On the run line? Yeah, you read that right. Just when everyone started to write off the Mets (myself included), they’ve suddenly started to heat up again. New York has quietly won six of seven after everybody stopped paying attention, and this team isn’t going to just roll over. They’re still within striking distance in the NL East. The same can’t be said for the Nationals, who are 56-79 and have clearly thrown in the towel.

Washington has lost seven of their past eight, and will start 23-year-old rookie Josiah Gray here. Gray got rocked for six earned runs his last time out. Mets starter Taijuan Walker struggled for a while, but he’s been solid recently despite facing a really tough schedule. In his most recent outing he gave up only a couple of hits to the Giants, and two starts before that he gave up only two hits and one run to the Dodgers.

Cleveland Indians ML (+145) over Boston Red Sox

Cleveland has a lot of value on the money line. You’d never guess it by the way people talk about their lineup, but their offense has been producing at a crazy level lately. Over the past 15 days, the Indians have the highest OPS of any team in the league. Now they get to face Red Sox starter Nick Pivetta, who has given up four earned runs in three straight starts.

Pivetta had a 5.27 ERA in six August starts, and I’d much rather have Cleveland starter Zach Plesac over him at the moment. Plesac’s very solid 1.13 WHIP shows he’s a bit unlucky to have a 4.49 ERA this season. Cleveland has won four of Plesac’s last five starts, and his last time out he threw seven shutout innings.

Detroit Tigers ML (+180) over Cincinnati Reds

Getting the Tigers as this big of an underdog with Casey Mize on the mound is a steal. Especially when you consider that their offense has been really hot recently. They scored 15 runs in a huge win in this series’ opener on Friday, and scored 14 runs across their last two games before this series started. Detroit has been an above .500 team over the past several months, but for some reason they still often get treaded by oddsmakers like a doormat.

Oh well, more value for us. Mize has been a bright spot for the Tigers this season with a 3.59 ERA. The Reds will start Luis Castillo, who has a 4.30 ERA, yet is still being treated like an ace by oddsmakers. Cincinnati is just 10-18 in Castillo’s 28 starts this year.
