Since graduating from Davidson (The College That Stephen Curry Built), I have been writing about sports -- just about any and all you can think of! -- and coaching tennis in Atlanta, GA. Beyond the four major sports, I am an avid tennis fan and cover the ATP Tour on a daily basis. If I'm not busy writing, you can generally find me on a tennis court or traveling the world wherever a sporting event takes me. For Ricky Dimon media enquiries, please email contact@pickswise.com.

An unfortunate off day in the NBA playoffs is upon us and the NHL regular season is just about over. However, there is a full 15-game slate of Major League Baseball on Saturday. We also have plenty of soccer action in both the English Premier League and Major League Soccer to go along with the conclusion of the 2022 NFL Draft. It’s another big day in the world of sports, so let’s not waste any time and get right to making your next bet better. Here is our latest installment of Wise n’ Shine!

About Last Night

Grizzlies wrap up first round with Game 6 win
Not a single first-round series in the NBA playoffs went the distance. After a trio ended in Game 6s on Thursday, Memphis finished off Minnesota in Game 6 on Friday. The Grizzlies staged their third fourth-quarter comeback from double-digits down to beat the Timberwolves 114-06. We cashed both Grizzlies -1 and Under 229.

MLB mega parlay cashes at +1000
We hit the jackpot with Friday’s MLB mega parlay, as the Yankees, Red Sox and Rockies all covered -1.5 run lines for a +1000 payout. The Bronx Bombers beat Kansas City 12-2, the Sox scraped past Baltimore 3-1 and the Rocks rocked Cincinnati 10-4. Overall, the Pickswise MLB handicappers went 12-3 ML/PL and 9-5-1 O/U.

NHL playoffs are set
The penultimate day of the NHL’s regular season set the playoff picture in stone, as Sunday’s Jets-Kraken game has no bearing on it. One of the more intriguing first-round showdowns pits two-time defending Stanley Cup champion Tampa Bay against high-powered Toronto.

Today’s Slate

MLB double-header on FS1

Tons of EPL and MLS action
There may be no NBA or NHL games on Saturday, but the soccer festivities are plentiful. Liverpool and Manchester City are among 12 English Premier League teams taking the field. A 10-game schedule is on offer in Major League Soccer. You can find all of our coverage on the soccer page.

Stat of the Day

Seattle starter Robbie Ray has struggled on the road this season, allowing 7 earned runs in 13.1 innings across 2 starts. Now he has to face the host Marlins, who are riding a 6-game winning streak.

Boost of the Day

Liverpool and Manchester City to win
Boosted to +110 with FanDuel Sportsbook
