Week 8 of the XFL season will get underway with a doubleheader on Saturday, which begins with the Vegas Vipers visiting the St. Louis Battlehawks before the nightcap features the Orlando Guardians hosting the Arlington Renegades. Sunday’s schedule features the San Antonio Brahmas, Houston Roughnecks, DC Defenders and Seattle Sea Dragons.

Below is my mega parlay for Week 8, and also be sure to check out all of our XFL picks.

St. Louis Battlehawks -7 (+135)

Orlando Guardians -1.5 (-110)

DC Defenders ML (+115)

XFL parlay odds: +684

For this parlay we are going with a couple of favorites against the spread and an underdog on the money line. Let’s break down each of the legs.

St. Louis Battlehawks -7 over Vegas Vipers (+135)

The Vipers prevailed over the Brahmas last week, but that marked just their second win of the 2023 campaign. They were helped San Antonio’s 3 turnovers. You can’t figure that the Battlehawks will be so generous. They are coming off a win over the Roughnecks that put them in second place in their divison. St. Louis quarterback AJ McCarron was 26 of 34 for 222 yards with 3 touchdowns and no interceptions. He is keeping the Battlehawks in contention in their division behind the juggernaut Defenders. St. Louis really is looking like the second-best team in the league (its 5-2 record is tied with Seattle, behind only DC). McCarron, who is trying to earn his way back into NFL consideration, is completing 68% of his passes on the season with 17 touchdowns and 4 interceptions. The last time these teams played the Battlehawks won 29-6.

Orlando Guardians -1.5 Arlington Renegades (-110)

The Guardians finally won a game. After starting the season with 6 straight losses, they got on the board with a victory last week. And it wasn’t just any old win; it was an impressive one – and a shocking one against a Defenders team that had been 6-0. Look for Orlando to keep the sudden momentum rolling this weekend. It wasn’t some outlier that came out of nowhere, despite what the records would suggest. The Guardians had quietly been making progress the past couple of weeks after making the switch to Quinten Dormady at QB. Dormady absolutely shredded DC last week for 328 yards and 3 touchdowns, and in hindsight it’s to think that this team opted to roll with Paxton Lynch under center to start the year. Dormady has been excellent ever since taking the reins and we now have b large enough sample size now to know it’s legit. Arlington has lost 3 of its past 4, so this is a great opportunity for Orlando to reel off a winning streak.

DC Defenders ML over Seattle Sea Dragons (+115)

The Defenders suffered their first loss of the season last week, but a wakeup call may be just what the doctor ordered. Coming off a loss and now facing a Seattle team that is 5-1 (just 1 game back in the North Division), DC will have no trouble getting up for this game. It’s a big one; maybe the biggest of the XFL season. For the Defenders, it is their Jordan Ta’amu-led offense that is clicking. Ta’amu has thrown for 530 yards and 5 touchdowns over the past 2 games, a stretch that includes 7 completions of at least 20 yards. He produced only 2 such explosive plays in the first 5 games combined. DC beat Seattle 22-18 in the first head-to-head meeting, so I like the value at plus-money.
