Here are a few NHL Best Bets that may be worth considering today — with lines and odds courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook at the time of writing. Also, be sure to check out all of our NHL predictions for every game throughout the season, including all 11 matchups tonight.
NHL Best Bet: San Jose Sharks 3-Way ML over Vancouver Canucks (-125)
The San Jose Sharks will host the Vancouver Canucks on Thursday night. The Canucks come into this game with a 3-10-1 record, having just put an end to a 10-game losing streak on Tuesday night. They are the worst defensive team in the NHL, averaging 4.64 goals against per game. The Sharks have not been at their best so far this season, but they will likely treat this as a get-right spot on home ice.
Macklin Celebrini is the leader of the Sharks, and they go as he goes. He has been held pointless in two of his last three games, and I expect a big showing from him on Thursday against his home town team. The Sharks have lost two in a row, and this is a perfect spot to put an end to that streak. Look for the Sharks to dominate in a win against the Canucks.

NHL Best Bet: Buffalo Sabres vs Anaheim Ducks Over 6.5 (-125)
The Buffalo Sabres will be in Anaheim to take on the Ducks on Thursday night. Early on, these two teams are no strangers to poor defensive play and bad goaltending. As a team, the Sabres average 3.33 goals against per game, while the Ducks allow 3.58 goals per game. On the flip side, the Ducks are a solid offensive team, scoring 3.08 goals per game. The projected goalies for this game, Lukas Dostal and Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen, have some pretty brutal numbers. Dostal has a 3.56 GAA and .872 SVP, while Luukkonen has a 3.57 GAA and .866 SVP.
The last two games the Ducks have played have seen a total of 20 goals scored. In the two meetings between these teams last season, both games went over the projected 6.5 game total. Look for a high-scoring night between the Ducks and Sabres on Thursday.

NHL Best Bet: Dylan Larkin (DET) 4+ shots on goal (+122)
Dylan Larkin and the Detroit Red Wings will host the Chicago Blackhawks in an original-six matchup on Thursday. Larkin comes into this game with a high shot volume over his last four games. In those four games, he tallied 4.5 shots per game, and he eclipsed the four or more shots target in three of the four games. As a team, the Blackhawks average 30.3 shots against per game, which is 26th in the NHL.
Larkin plays in all situations of the game, including top-line minutes and on the top power-play unit. He is the main shooter on his line with his wingers looking to feed him the puck. Larkin is still looking to win the home town fans back on his side after requesting a trade, so look for him to have a big offensive night on home ice. Bank on another game with a high shot volume for Larkin.
