Austin Peay Governors vs Georgia Bulldogs Prediction, Odds and Picks for Today, 09/06/25
Austin Peay vs Georgia Pickswise Expert Predictions
The Austin Peay Governors head down between the hedges to take on the Georgia Bulldogs in an obvious mismatch. However, the Govs do roll into the game with a little bit of confidence and steam. Austin Peay played an FBS foe in Week 1, albeit the Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders of Conference USA, and the Governors boat-raced them 34-14 in their own stadium. The Governors dictated most facets of the game, totaling 343 yards of offense, to just 153 for MTSU, and they held the Blue Raiders to 0-for-12 on third downs. Austin Peay gobbled up 150 rushing yards, to just 44 allowed, and if not for nine penalties, it would have been a near flawless performance.
Georgia picked up a 45-7 win over Marshall in the opening game, as QB Gunner Stockton posted 190 yards and two touchdowns before getting a breather in the second half. He also ran for two scores in what amounted to a glorified scrimmage. Can the Governors actually give the Dawgs a much better game than Marshall did? It’s possible. Austin Peay is undersized, but it should play with a lot of heart. It won’t sniff a potential upset, but it should be able to stay without seven touchdowns. The spread on this game is out of line. Even a 55-7 rout is a winning ticket.
Austin Peay +48.5 (-110) at time of publishing. Playable at that number.
