The Rays have yet to announce their starting pitcher for Game 5, but with Nick Martinez starting Game 1 that is a solid guess of where they may turn. Martinez pitched well in Game 1 of this World Series and has been a steady contributor all season long for the Rays. Game 1 was a low scoring affair, seeing Milwaukee win 3-2 after strong pitching performances on both sides. We could see another low scoring game in this matchup, but I expect the majority of scoring to come from the Brewers side early on. Misiorowski has a chance to put a bow on his amazing season, and I find the pricing on Milwaukee to be light through 5 innings of play. In the -140/-150 range this leg holds value to me in a Same Game Parlay.

Misiorowski only recorded 3 strikeouts in his 5 innings pitched in Game 1, but I am still willing to try again on his strikeout prop given the circumstances and his elite strikeout upside. No pitcher in MLB had more Ks than Misiorowski this season, recording 252 Ks in 174.2 innings, good for a 37.9% K% that ranked 100th percentile among MLB arms. He is terrific at jumping ahead in counts early, and his elite stuff puts batters in awkward situations.
We saw his first pitch velocity over 103 MPH in Game 1 and I would expect him to be similarly fired up for his Game 5 start. His workload shouldn’t be much longer than it has been throughout the postseason, but I still think there is enough gas in the tank for 6 or more strikeouts in this game.

Even in Game 4 the Brewers made things tough on Tampa Bay, and they were almost able to escape with a win. This Milwaukee team is a relentless group and one of the deeper rosters in recent memory. They can mix and match both their lineups and their bullpen arms, and the depth of both groups has been crucial for their success. Now with their historic ace on the mound in a close out scenario, I have a tough time not favoring the Brewers in this game.
If Tampa Bay decides to roll with another starter than Nick Martinez, I only see their chances of winning decreasing. Obviously, Tampa Bay benefits from playing this game at home where they have had a dominant season, but I still favor the Brewers at current pricing and look for them to win this game by margin.
