The week in Major League Baseball continues with a full 15-game slate on Saturday. It is headlined by Yankees vs White Sox, Phillies vs Mets, Cubs vs Brewers and Dodgers vs Padres – all intriguing division-rivalry showdowns.

Here are my best bets, and also make sure to check out our MLB picks for predictions throughout the 2026 season.

Los Angeles Dodgers ML over San Diego Padres (-198)

Yoshinobu Yamamoto is toeing the rubber for Los Angeles on Saturday. The reigning World Series MVP comes in with a 2.65 ERA and a miniscule 0.87 WHIP. The right-hander has been utterly dominant over his past 6 starts, allowing more than 1 run just once during this hot streak. The Dodgers dropped the series opener in San Diego on Friday; they have lost back-to-back games only once since May 12. I’m not especially inclined to back the -1.5 run line given the Dodgers’ current woes at the plate (they have scored more than 4 runs only once in their last 6 contests), but they should be able to ride Yamamoto to a win. Even at a -198 price, the visitors have decent value on the money line.

San Francisco Giants ML over Atlanta Braves (-136)

Coinciding with the Phillies’ hot streak, the Braves’ are mired in an extensive, potentially division-losing slump. Bryce Elder has been one of the culprits, with a ridiculous 14 earned runs and 22 hits allowed over his last 2 starts across 10.0 innings of work. Atlanta lost those 2 games by a combined 17-5 margin. Adding insult to injury, San Francisco is sending Logan Webb to the mound. The Giants’ ace has been incredible over his past 5 appearances, lowering his ERA from 5.06 to 3.35. He has not surrendered more than 2 runs in any start during this stretch and has given up more than 1 run only once. Webb is sporting a 19-to-1 strikeout-to-walk ratio in his last 3 outings.

Athletics vs Los Angeles Angels Over 8.5 (-107)

The Athletics took the series opener 9-3 on Friday and another high-scoring affair can be expected tonight. We just saw this pitching matchup between Jack Perkins’ of the A’s and Reid Detmers’ of the Halos this past Sunday, when the Angels prevailed 9-7 in Sacramento. Perkins allowed 4 earned runs in 5.0 innings; Detmers lasted 6.0 innings but surrendered 5 earned runs on 6 hits and 4 walks. Detmers also faced the Athletics on May 19 and got torched for 8 runs on 8 hits and 2 walks in 5.2 innings during a 14-6 loss. He is likely in trouble again considering that the Athletics have crossed the plate 18 times in their last 2 games. For Los Angeles, Denzer Guzman has homered in 3 of the last 6 contests and went 2-for-4 on Friday.
