MLB Picks Today: Expert Predictions & Best Bets for Sunday, July 26, including Yankees vs Phillies
Here are my best bets for Sunday in Major League Baseball, and also make sure to check out our MLB picks for predictions throughout the rest of the 2026 season.
MLB best bet: Toronto Blue Jays vs Boston Red Sox F5 Over 3.5 (-140)
The rubber match of this 3-game series will feature Toronto’s Kevin Gausman and Boston’s Ranger Suarez. Gausman is 4-9 with a 4.51 ERA and 1.28. The veteran righty has been especially horrendous this summer, compiling a 6.47 ERA in June and a 6.75 mark so far in July. Suarez has not pitched in 3 weeks due to a groin injury. Although an incredible 15-game winning streak has come to an end, the Red Sox have scored at least 6 runs in 5 of their last 7 contests. For the Blue Jays, a whopping 6 different players delivered multi-hit performances on Saturday – including Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and Ernie Clement with 3 hits apiece. Both teams’ bullpens are stellar, so the first 5 play is more appealing than the full game. I would play this at Over 4.5 (+124), as well, but 3.5 is obviously a safer player and still has good value at -140.
MLB best bet: Milwaukee Brewers -1.5 over Colorado Rockies (-142)
There is no need to overthink this one. Jacob Misiorowski taking the mound for Milwaukee with his lineup getting to bat against Kyle Freeland is a recipe for a complete blowout. Misiorowski is the overwhelming favorite for the NL Cy Young Award, currently sporting a 10-4 record, 1.57 ERA, 0.77 WHIP and a 173-to-28 strikeout-to-walk ratio in 115.0 innings. The Brewers have won 10 of his last 13 starts, with 9 of those victories coming by multiple runs. Freeland is 2-9 with a laughable 7.28 ERA, 1.56 WHIP and 20 home runs allowed in 94.0 innings. The Rockies have lost each of the left-hander's last 3 starts, including the past 2 by multiple runs. Milwaukee cruised 8-5 on Saturday and may be able to win by even more than that in the series finale.
MLB best bet: New York Yankees vs Philadelphia Phillies Under 8 (-105)
Christopher Sanchez is toeing the rubber for the Phillies on Sunday night. Sanchez is 12-4 with a 2.71 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and 151 strikeouts in 132.2 innings. The Yankees’ current lineup is 9-for-45 (.200) all time against the southpaw with just 2 extra-base hits. New York is countering with Will Warren, who is 7-4 with a 4.00 ERA. Warren can’t be expected to work deep into this contest, as he has logged more than 6.0 innings just once in 2026 and he has not completed the fifth inning since May 31. However, that should not be an issue for the visitors. They are #1 in all of MLB in bullpen ERA at 3.01. Philadelphia’s offense has been dreadful since the all-star break. The home side has scored a grand total of 1 run through the first 2 games of this series and only once in its 6 losses since the break has it crossed the plate more than 1 time.
