Mets vs Phillies parlay pick: Juan Soto (NYM) over 1.5 Hits+Runs+RBIs (-150)
Aaron Nola has been a member of the Phillies for quite some time, and as a result, he has a lengthy history against the New York Mets. Active Met batters have 175 combined plate appearances against the veteran right-hander, including 62 from Juan Soto. Soto has found success against Nola in that sample, posting an 1.1134 OPS with 5 home runs and 17 walks recorded.
Soto is in the midst of another strong season, posting a .967 OPS through his first 78 games played. He has 21 home runs with 55 RBI and 44 runs scored so far. Moreover, Soto has been excellent recently, including 4 home runs this month before the All-Star break began. His OPS rises to 1.049 against right-handed pitching as well.
Nola has been worse when at home this season, and his production has also slipped against left-handed batters. His home ERA sits at 6.81 with opponents hitting .319 against him in 38.1 innings pitched. Lefties are posting an .853 OPS against him as well. New York was an above-average offense against righties across the last 30 days of play, and I expect Soto to record over 1.5 combined hits runs and RBI.

Mets vs Phillies parlay pick: Christian Scott (NYM) 5+ strikeouts (-217)
Christian Scott enters play ranking 83rd percentile in strikeout rate this season. He doesn’t work overly deep into ball games due to his inefficiency, but Scott has his outs recorded prop juiced heavily towards the over today. We can expect 5 innings or so from the right-hander and with his strikeout upside, 5 or more is more than attainable. Scott has recorded at least 5 strikeouts in 10 of his last 11 appearances.
The Phillies are a solid offensive unit against right-handed pitching, but they are a bit prone to the strikeout. In the last 30 days of play against right-handers, the Phillies have a 23.7% strikeout rate. That mark sits 10th-highest in that span.
Mets vs Phillies SGP pick: New York Mets ML over Philadelphia Phillies (+110)
Our final leg to the parlay is the Mets winning the game. Scott will likely only work 5 innings or so, but both bullpens are entirely rested following the All-Star break. With Nola’s struggles at home, against lefties, and against the Mets in the past, I am not overly fond of his matchup. I believe we see a close fought battle, but at current pricing, the Mets hold some value.
