Boston Red Sox vs Arizona Diamondbacks Prediction, Odds and Picks for Today, 09/07/25

I believe that the Boston Red Sox will win their game against the Arizona Diamondbacks on Sunday, and with current pricing there appears to be some value on their money line. Brayan Bello has been outstanding for the Red Sox in 2025, producing a 3.07 ERA across his first 146.2 innings of work. Strikeouts are still not a massive part of his game, but the right-hander has had a breakout season anyway, as his team needed someone to step up. Bello did allow 3 earned runs across 5 innings in his last start but was very strong in August with a 2.27 ERA in 31.2 innings of work. Look for him to deliver another strong start against Arizona in this spot.

Ryne Nelson is a starting pitcher that has grown on me over the years, but he is still a volatile arm at times. His 131 innings this season have been split between a starting role and out of the bullpen, but regardless of role the right-hander has improved in 2025. With a 3.57 ERA and slightly improved strikeout rate, Nelson has progressed nicely for the Diamondbacks in a season where not much else has gone right. Despite his progression he is not my preferred starter in this game, and I prefer Boston’s lineup and bullpen as well for this matchup.
