It was a tough night for Chicago’s offense, but the Cubs should be able to put together a better performance against Keider Montero on Saturday afternoon. After an opener, Montero is expected to get the bulk of the innings on the mound for Detroit. The 24-year-old right-hander is still adjusting to life at the big league level, and while he has looked sharp in his last 2 outings, opponents are hitting a strong .277 against him so far this season.

The Cubs will send veteran right-hander Jameson Taillon to the mound. Taillon has struggled away from Wrigley Field this season, as his ERA goes from 2.70 at home to 4.96 on the road. In addition, his BAA goes from .182 to .256. Detroit has a well-rounded lineup that could be able to give him some problems.
