Smith had been the best pitcher this season for Chicago. Now, the Pale Hose turn to RHP Sean Burke, who has been less than stellar, especially on the road. Burke is 0-5 with a 5.82 ERA across 34 innings in five starts and two relief appearances on the road, while teams are hitting .272 against him.

The veteran southpaw Clayton Kershaw started out a little slow after debuting in mid-May. However, after posting a 5.17 ERA through his first four starts this season, it’s been vintage Kershaw lately. The lefty has won four consecutive starts while chopping his ERA down from 5.17 to 3.03 ERA since June 3. Back the Dodgers to get another big victory after covering the run line in Tuesday’s game.
