Chicago White Sox vs Minnesota Twins Prediction, Odds and Picks for Tuesday, 09/02/25

I lean towards a win for the Chicago White Sox against the Minnesota Twins on Tuesday. While a 50-88 record is not the greatest thing to see when looking to bet on an underdog, the White Sox have shown improved signs of life in the 2nd half as their youthful roster becomes more acclimated to MLB play. Some of their young players have really impressed and shown potential for the future, which gives Chicago something to build on going forward. They will take on Simeon Woods-Richardson who is always a pitcher that can be taken advantage of, and I expect some offensive production from Chicago in this spot.

White Sox starter Davis Martin is not my favorite starting pitcher in the league, but he is someone I prefer over Woods-Richardson. Martin has made 21 appearances totaling 116 innings of work so far in 2025, posting a respectable 4.03 ERA along the way. While not an arm that will earn a ton of strikeouts, he does eat innings well and benefits from taking on a watered-down Twins lineup following their trade deadline deals.
