Cincinnati Reds vs Milwaukee Brewers Prediction, Odds and Picks for Today, 09/26/25

The Cincinnati Reds trail the New York Mets by a single game for the final wild card spot in the National League with 3 games remaining. Cincinnati has a tough task taking on the Milwaukee Brewers, however, and I am not fond of their matchup Friday evening with their divisional rivals. Milwaukee sits at 96 wins and atop the NL standings after what has been a tremendous regular season for the organization. Quinn Priester has been a massive contributor for the Brewers, posting a 3.25 ERA across 152.1 innings. As a Pirates fan, there was no doubt Priester would find his footing as an MLB pitcher once he joined Milwaukee’s organization. The team has won each of his last 19 starts, which is an unbelievable fact. The last time Milwaukee lost a game started by Priester was May 24th against my Pirates, and it wasn’t even Priester’s fault, as he tossed 6 innings of 1-run ball.

Zack Littell was acquired from the Tampa Bay Rays by the Cincinnati Reds at the trade deadline this season, and the right-hander has seen his performance regress since joining his new squad. In 133.1 innings with Tampa Bay, he posted a 3.58 ERA, but in 48.2 innings so far with the Reds that ERA has ballooned to 4.62. He now faces a patient and powerful Brewer’s lineup that is capable of producing damage from multiple sources in their deep lineup. While I am rooting for the Reds to knock off the Mets from the playoff race, I don’t like their odds of winning this game.
