I favor the Cincinnati Reds over the Athletics as the teams face off Saturday night. Hunter Greene is set to start for the Reds and he presents Cincinnati with a sizable starting pitching edge in this matchup. Greene has been electric when healthy this season, posting a 2.59 ERA and 0.93 WHIP with 113 strikeouts in his first 90.1 innings this season. His last 2 starts resulted in 13.1 innings of 2-run ball with 19 Ks against the Mets and Blue Jays. Now he faces a weaker Athletics lineup, and he is my preferred option in this matchup.

Luis Severino is set to start this game for the Athletics, marking his 27th start of the season in his first year with his new club. Severino has been a different pitcher when at home compared to on the road, and today he is tasked with a home start against a solid Reds team. In 75.1 road innings Sevvy has posted a 3.11 ERA, but in 71 home innings that mark balloons to 6.34. I am not fond of his matchup or where he is pitching, and I look for the Reds to win this game.
