JP Sears faced this Houston lineup on 5/27 with 3.1 innings and 10 earned runs allowed. He surrendered 3 home runs in that outing and I am not a fan of his rematch with Houston as he now faces them in a hitter-friendly minor league part. Hitting conditions are also ripe for scoring with temperatures in the high 80’s and wind blowing out towards center field. Sears is not in very good form, and I expect him to struggle tonight.

Houston is starting Jason Alexander in this game, marking his 5th appearance with the club on the season. The 32-year-old right-hander was knocked around in his last appearance, allowing 3 home runs and 9 earned runs in just 2.1 innings against the Los Angeles Dodgers. Athletics are not as strong as the Dodgers offensively, but with their favorable hitting conditions and overall numbers against in their home park, I expect them to contribute towards the game total.
