I favor the Los Angeles Angels in Thursday’s matchup with the Atlanta Braves given current pricing. LA is pegged as an underdog to the tune of a +125 price point, and that is worth a buy in my estimation as the Angels have the better starting option. Jose Soriano allowed 8 earned runs in his last outing but has been one of the better options in this Angels rotation this season. Despite that poor outing last time out, his ERA still sits below 4, and his ground-ball nature should benefit him in this matchup.

Bryce Elder is pure fade material in my eyes, as the low-strikeout-rate arm fails to avoid hard contact with any sort of regularity. He can also lose control at times which leads to large outputs from the opposition. Los Angeles is a strikeout-prone lineup, but they are more than capable of producing some long balls and getting to Elder today.
