Angels vs Rockies Pickswise Expert Predictions
I am not placing my personal money on the over in Sunday’s matchup between the Colorado Rockies and Los Angeles Angels, but if tasked with a bet on the side or total that would be my position. I trust neither starting pitcher in this game and while both offenses have their flaws, that is what Coors Field was made for. Caden Dana is set to start this game for the Angels, marking his 6th appearance and 4th start with the major league squad this season. Dana has 19.1 innings under his belt this season with 14 walks issued and 5 home runs allowed. That is an awful recipe when entering Colorado regardless of the lineup you have to face.
Mike Trout hit a massive home run last night for his 400th career bomb and I like his chances of doing the same again as the Angels take on Kyle Freeland. This is Freeland’s 3rd straight season with at least 21 starts made (79 total in that span) with an ERA of 5.03 or worse. This will be his 30th start of the season for the team with a 42-113 record, and he has a 4-16 record attached to his name as a result. The total is steep, but it is where I lean for this matchup.
