While not a game I am rushing to the window to bet Thursday morning, I do expect the Kansas City Royals to earn a win over the Los Angeles Angels. Noah Cameron was knocked around during his last start, allowing 6 earned runs in a surprisingly poor outing against the Chicago White Sox. Cameron entered that start with a 2.53 ERA on the season, and his 2.92 mark is still very strong even after that poor outing. The southpaw hurler is a very low strikeout rate, but he has still shown an ability to be effective in his role for the Royals.

Kyle Hendricks is the opposite, having pitched well in his last start despite a stretch of iffy pitching leading up to that start. He fired 6 innings of 1-run ball against the Astros in his last start, but allowed 3 or more earned runs in each of his 4 prior starts including 4 or more earned runs in 3 of those 4 outings. I expect the Royals to provide Cameron with enough run support to earn a win.
