Angels vs Yankees Pickswise Expert Predictions

Run Line Pick
NY Yankees Win -1.5(+110)

The New York Yankees snapped their five-game losing streak after walking it off in last night’s matchup against the Los Angeles Angels in dramatic fashion. Trent Grisham belted a two-run homer to tie the game at 10, and moments later, Jose Caballero scored on a wild pitch to give the Yankees a 11-10 victory. Both teams will look to cool off each other’s offenses after that explosive performance, but it may not be easy. Taking the mound for the Angels will be the left-hander Reid Detmers who is 0-1 with a 4.60 ERA through three starts this season. For the Yankees, the lefty Ryan Weathers will get the nod, who enters at 0-1 with a 2.81 ERA.

The Yankees needed Aaron Judge to get going at the plate, and he delivered in a big way last night, going 2-for-5 with two home runs and three RBIs. Trent Grisham also added two home runs, a promising sign for a lineup that has been inconsistent to start the season. While the Yankees have the edge on the mound with Weathers, the Angels love hitting left-handed pitching this season, batting .248 compared to the Yankees who are hitting .145. This should be another exciting matchup, and we’re about to find out if this Yankees lineup can keep things rolling against Detmers who has struggled this season. Despite the Angels hitting lefties well this season, I think the Yankees will find a way to score early and take advantage of a weak Angels bullpen late in the game that holds a 4.73 ERA. Look for New York to win big in the Bronx tonight and make it two in a row.
