Milwaukee Brewers vs Minnesota Twins Prediction, Odds and Picks for Today, 06/21/25

Simeon Woods-Richardson delivered 5 scoreless frames for the Minnesota Twins during his last outing against the Houston Astros, but that was his best start of the season, and I expect a worse outing today against the Brewers. His start before was his return to the majors, allowing 11 base runners and 6 earned runs with an additional unearned run crossing the plate during his 4.2 innings. He had been sent down to AAA after allowing 6 earned runs to Baltimore on 5/14, and I am not convinced he is an MLB-quality starting pitcher at this point. Milwaukee is a patient lineup that should put pressure on Woods-Richardson to win within the zone, and I am betting against his ability to do that today.

Jose Quintana is not my favorite starting pitcher in MLB either, but the veteran left-hander does draw what I find to be an easier matchup than his counterpart. The southpaw hurler allowed 11 base runners and 5 earned runs with an additional 2 unearned runs in his last start against the Mets, but he now faces a Twins lineup that has been far worse against lefty pitching this season. Prior to the poor outing the veteran had allowed just 4 earned runs in his previous 3 starts combined, spanning 15.1 innings. He likely doesn’t see more than 5 innings today, but we only need the Brewers to lead through 5 frames.
