Minnesota Twins vs Chicago White Sox Prediction, Odds and Picks for Today, 08/22/25

The Minnesota Twins and Chicago White Sox meet Friday at Rate Field for the first matchup between these American League Central Division rivals for the first time since April 24. They’ll see plenty of each other down the stretch. The Twins have won four of the past five meetings, with the Over holding a 3-2-1 edge this season. That’s something to remember for Same-Game Parlay (SGP) players. We’re going to focus on the Over, however.

Twins RHP Zebby Matthews gets the ball for the visitors, and he has a 3-4 record, 5.06 ERA and 1.44 WHIP across 48 IP in 10 starts, and while he has shown a tinge of improvement lately, posting a 4.50 ERA and 1.41 WHIP across his past seven starts, he is still very giving. The White Sox turn to RHP Aaron Civale, and he has also been very giving. He is 3-8 with a 4.88 ERA and 1.35 WHIP this season in 16 starts with the Milwaukee Brewers and White Sox. He has a 5.20 ERA across the past 36 1/3 IP in seven starts, so look for the bats to be very active early against both of these hurlers.
