Mick Abel was long a hyped Phillies prospect along with other notable pitching prospects in their organization. He was speculated to be involved in trades throughout the years and that speculation came true at the trade deadline this season when he was shipped to the Twins for Jhoan Duran. Abel has made 3 appearances totaling 8 innings with his new club, allowing 13 earned runs in that brief sample. That brings his season-long ERA to 7.36 through 33 innings of work. While that is a brief sample, he is tasked with facing a tough Phillies lineup Saturday and I am not fond of his chances to succeed.

Ranger Suarez may see his workload limited in his final regular season start as the team has no reason to really push him ahead of their postseason run. He has had his poor outings this season, but the full picture for 2025 Ranger Saurez has been a good one. Through his 153 innings of work the southpaw hurler has posted a 3.12 ERA and helped the Phillies soften the blow of losing Zack Wheeler. I look for the Phillies to win this game by multiple runs.
