Twins vs Phillies Pickswise Expert Predictions
I wouldn’t expect the Philadelphia Phillies to overextend Cristopher Sanchez’s workload in his season finale today against the Minnesota Twins, but when he is in the game, he provides his squad with a sizable starting pitching edge. Sanchez has had a terrific 2025 campaign for the Phillies, entering this matchup with 196.1 innings of 2.57-ERA ball. His 204 strikeouts to 44 walks are a healthy ratio and the southpaw only surrendered 12 home runs all season. He faces a Twins lineup that he should have few issues with today.
Simeon Woods-Richardson is set to start this game for the Twins, marking his 23rd appearance of the season. The right-hander had a shaky start to his season but has since worked hard to lower his ERA back to a respectable 4.27 mark. While he has not been pitching poorly of late, Woods-Richardson is still someone I struggle to bet on when facing playoff-caliber lineups. The Phillies may decide to rest some guys in the season finale, but they are still a unit capable of damage without a piece or two.
