Philadelphia Phillies vs Texas Rangers Prediction, Odds and Picks for Today, 08/10/25
Phillies vs Rangers Pickswise Expert Predictions
I favor the Philadelphia Phillies to win their matchup with the Texas Rangers on Sunday afternoon. The Phillies enter play with a 67-49 record, good for the top spot in the National League East and a half-game back from the Dodgers for the #2 seed. The Rangers are 2.5 games back from the final wild card spot in the American League, and they are hoping their elite starting pitching production can power them to the postseason. Sunday’s matchup should be an interesting one, but I lean towards a Phillies win as they hold a clear edge in the starting pitching matchup.
Zack Wheeler has been one of the best starting pitchers across the entire league for several seasons now, and the veteran right-hander is looking to dominant the Rangers today. Texas has been an inconsistent offensive unit all season long despite their clear talent, and Wheeler should produce 6 or 7 strong innings in this spot. Patrick Corbin is set to start for the Rangers on Sunday. Corbin has had a surprise bounce back season for Texas, posting a respectable 3.91 ERA across his first 112.2 innings. His production has slipped a bit of late, however, and the Phillies active batters have a ton of experience against him.
