While Houser is my preferred starting pitcher in this matchup with Washington, I still don’t want to rush to bet his props, as the Nationals youthful lineup may be able to do damage against him in their home park.

Mitchell Parker is set to start this game for the Nationals despite his continued poor form. It is curious to see why Washington continues rolling him out every 5th day, but opposing bettors have found success backing lineups against the struggling southpaw. Parker now has a 6.01 ERA on the season after allowing 28 earned runs so far this month in just 21 innings of work. Eleven walks and 7 home runs in that brief span have resulted in disaster, and I expect more of the same in this spot.
