Texas Rangers vs Arizona Diamondbacks Prediction, Odds and Picks for Monday, 09/01/25

The final game of the September 1 Labor Day slate of MLB action is between the Arizona Diamondbacks and the Texas Rangers. Patrick Corbin is set to start the game for the Rangers while Ryne Nelson starts for Arizona. Corbin was a player that got picked on in recent seasons due to his high salary and lack of production for the Nationals. This season he latched on as a member of the Rangers rotation on a cheap deal and has delivered 131 innings with a 4.33 ERA so far. Corbin was electric in his last outing with 8 shutout innings against the Angels and I expect another strong effort from the southpaw.

Ryne Nelson was also strong in his last start, posting 6 innings of 1 run ball against a tough Milwaukee lineup. Nelson didn’t have his strongest month of the season in August overall, but in 125 innings on the season the right-hander has produced a 3.53 ERA. It has been nice to see him take a step forward for Arizona with Merrill Kelly traded, Corbin Burnes injured, and Brandon Pfaadt struggling. I lean towards the under on the posted game total in this matchup.
