The Athletics vs Boston Red Sox Prediction, Odds and Picks for Today, 09/18/25
Athletics vs Red Sox Pickswise Expert Predictions
The Athletics have been a major thorn in the side of the Boston Red Sox in this mid-week series. The A’s opened the series with a 2-1 victory behind LHP Jeffery Springs on Tuesday night, cashing as moderate underdogs as the Under cashed. In Wednesday’s game, the Red Sox returned the favor with a 5-4 win with RHP Lucas Giolito on the bump. But, it certainly has been anything but easy. The A’s are a respectable 15-10 in the previous 25 games since Aug. 21, and while they’re not going to the postseason, they sure can help spoil the party for a lot of playoff hopeful teams like the Red Sox.
The Red Sox hand the ball to RHP Brayan Bello, and he has had a phenomenal season. Overall, Bello is 11-7 with a 3.25 ERA and 1.22 WHIP across 157 2/3 IP in 26 starts and one relief appearance. In his past seven games, Bello is 3-2 with a 3.89 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and 12 walks with 30 strikeouts across 41 2/3 IP in the span. Boston’s Bello has been extremely consistent, and it’s actually a bit surprising that the Red Sox aren’t favored by more. Roll with Boston, and feel confidently in doing so.
Red Sox ML (-150) at time of publishing. Playable to -170.
