NBA Best Bets Today: November 4 Picks & Predictions
Election day is over and we can turn our focus back onto the NBA, as a 14-game slate awaits us on Wednesday! It’ll be the 76ers vs Pistons match-up to get us going at 7 pm ET, live on ESPN. Other notable games include Cavaliers vs Thunder, T’Wolves vs Nuggets as well as Mavericks vs Spurs live from 9.30 pm ET on ESPN.
It’s not often we get a jam-packed slate featuring 28 NBA teams, I’m hoping to make the most out of all the betting opportunities at our disposal. I've gone through all the matchups, looking for the most favorable lines and potential value NBA Picks. After breaking it all down, here are my three favorite bets Wednesday!
NBA Best Bet: DET Pistons -2 over PHI 76ers (-104)
As impressive of a start to the season the 76ers have had, I’d argue the Pistons have had an even better one. Especially considering the absence of Jalen Duren over the past few games. Unlike the 76ers who have had several games where they came back from double-digits, the Pistons’ wins have been far more convincing. Detroit has the 3rd best point differential in the NBA at +11.6 per win, in their last 3 outings that number has gone up to +19-point diff per win.
Philly’s offense has been prolific to start the year, but apart from the Pistons against whom they lost a little over a week ago at home, they’ve not really been challenged properly on that end. I just feel like the Pistons are the more complete team here and I trust them way more than trust Philadelphia. I still need a few big wins from the 76ers to take them seriously. Go with Detroit in this one.

NBA Best Bet: Mario Hezonja Over 3.5 Rebounds vs OKC Thunder (-144)
Slowly but surely, the signing of Mario Hezonja is proving to be one of the more underrated moves from this past offseason. The former Spanish league MVP is enjoying a great start in his 2nd stint as an NBA player, putting up solid numbers off the bench for Cleveland. Some of the things Hezonja is doing aren’t showing up in the stat sheet, for example he played some really solid defense on SGA in Monday’s meeting between the two sides.
The 2-time MVP did get the better of the Cavaliers in that game, but I’d keep an eye on this match-up as the two teams battle it out in a re-match on Wednesday. Hezonja’s 6-foot-8 frame is a difficult one for opposing defenses to keep off the glas. He’s averaging 5.6 rebounds a night, he’s cleared this line in 3 consecutive outings as well. OKC’s injury issues are well documented, they currently rank 21st in opponent rebounds giving up 55.4 per game. I’m counting on Hezonja to continue being active here.
NBA Best Bet: Over 234.5 Points in Lakers vs Kings (-115)
It is arguably the most prolific offense in the NBA against one of the worst defenses. The Lakers are only 2nd to the Memphis Grizzlies in points per game (122.5), we just saw them explode for 138 in the win over Miami on Monday. Luka Doncic is on a mission, he is having one of the best starts to a season from an offensive perspective ever, averaging 38.53 ppg and attempting an unreal 13.7 threes per game.
What else can we say about this Kings defense that hasn’t already been said? Despite having the league leader in rebounds per game in Domantas Sabonis, the Kings are near the bottom in almost every relevant defensive stat there is. They give up the most points in the paint (56.6 per game), 5th most assists (28.4), 2nd most points (124.3) and the most fastbreak points (20.7). With 4 of the last 5 meetings seeing more than 230 points combined, I just have to back the over here.
