Brooklyn Nets vs Charlotte Hornets Predictions, Odds and Picks for Today, 10/22/25
Nets vs Hornets Pickswise Expert Predictions
Both the Brooklyn Nets and the Charlotte Hornets are expected to be longshots to just make the playoffs, let alone be serious contenders for the NBA title in 2025-26. They square off Tuesday night in the Queen City, and somebody is going to get off on the right foot. That’s probably going to be the Hornets, who were just 12-29 at home last season — but they added some fresh faces and new hope to the roster. LaMelo Ball and Grant Williams will buoy the offense for Charlotte, which looks to take a little bit of a step forward this season. Many people are bearish on the prospects of both of these teams, but I can see Charlotte taking a step toward at least contending for a play-in spot if it can remain healthy.
Brooklyn is just a mish-mash of guys. Terance Mann, a former Hornet, joins the mix, and the Nets rely upon a host of young players acquired in the draft. The offense did show some signs of life early last season, but injuries quickly derailed that. One guy who concerns me is Day’Ron Sharpe, as he could show out for the Nets and keep them in this game. Michael Porter Jr. is another addition that will be very good for Brooklyn. Still, I think the Hornets are much deeper, and they eventually cover this spread in the end — perhaps with free-throws to salt away the game.
