Charlotte Hornets vs Philadelphia 76ers Prediction, Odds and Picks for Today, 10/25/25

It’s not often we have a one-sided affair like the one coming our way on Saturday as the Charlotte Hornets take on the Philadelphia 76ers. The Sixers have won 10 straight meetings between the two teams, but Charlotte fans are hoping their team has finally turned a corner after a winning start to the new season. LaMelo Ball and co. ran past the Brooklyn Nets in the season opener 136-117, with 9 total players scoring in double-digits. Obviously it’s hard to take into account such a performance against a bad team like the Nets are and will be, but Hornets fans will take any positive they can get at this point. I’d say this is their best opportunity to take something from a game against Philadelphia.

Philly is also off to a winning start to the season after an upset win over Boston in Game 1 earlier this week. Tyrese Maxey stole the show with 40 points, but the talk of the game was rookie point guard VJ Edgecombe who added 34 and 5 rebounds, while also converting on 5 threes. The status of Paul George is still unknown, but even without him it looks like the future is bright at the guards position for Philadelphia. We also have to mention Joel Embiid who had just 4 points on 1-for-9 shooting, logging just 20 minutes on what looked like a bad knee(s). The Sixers have won 6 games in a row at home against this team, Saturday’s game will be their season debut in front of the home faithful.

Charlotte really has nothing to lose here. It’ll be a showdown between LaMelo Ball and Tyrese Maxey, most of the success the Sixers have had in this match-up was due to Embiid’s ability to dominate down low. With him seemingly out of the picture, this could be Charlotte’s chance to end their woes against a team that’s owned them for years. I’ll give the road team the benefit of the doubt here and back Charlotte to cover.
