Cleveland Cavaliers vs Indiana Pacers Prediction, Odds and Picks for Sunday, 05/11/25

The opening 2 games of this Eastern Conference second round series between the Cavaliers and Pacers went the way of Indiana, to the shock of many basketball fans and bettors alike. Not only did the Pacers win both of those games, but their Game 2 victory came in dramatic, comeback fashion, as Cleveland led by as many as 20 points in the 3rd quarter (and by 7 points in the final minute), before going through a prolonged scoring drought in the 4th quarter en route to surrendering the lead on a game-winning 3-pointer in the final seconds. That result flipped the series upside down, but Cleveland punched back by dominating a must-win Game 3 on Friday in Indianapolis. What will Game 4 bring on Sunday? It’s almost time to find out. 

The biggest news for the Cavaliers is the return of Evan Mobley, Darius Garland and De’Andre Hunter to their starting lineup after all three players missed Game 2 with injuries. With the Cavaliers now fielding a complete roster, Cleveland is clearly the superior team in this series, and it showed as such in Friday’s dominant victory on the road. While I’m not expecting the same level of dominance in this contest, the Cavaliers are still in a desperate spot seeing as they’ll be looking to avoid going down 3-1 in this series at all costs. We know that Donovan Mitchell will continue his scoring barrage on this middling Indiana defense, but while I do expect the Pacers to shoot a bit better than they did on Friday, I still have some real concerns with the health of Tyrese Haliburton and how his apparent wrist injury will affect the Indiana offense. After all, he’s the engine that makes this Pacers offense go, and with just a combined 23 points and 9 assists over the last 2 games, it’s reasonable to question if his effectiveness could be limited once again on Sunday. All things considered, let’s back Cleveland to win and cover.
